Bolivian Landscapes and Flat Tires

July 19, 2018 by Jason B.

The landscapes became interesting the next morning as the sun rose while we drove straight through the Andes.

We also drove higher reaching altitudes of 4,855+ meters which is quite high. And you feel it – headaches, chapped lips, short of breath, and sun burn.

Another first that day was our first flat tire.

It’s not comforting to be alone in the Andes with one spare tire because if another one pops…it’s over? But its soon forgotten with strange landscapes like these.

Or the odd hot springs

The odd lakes

and bubbling geysers

This is the Bolivia I expected and was more than satisfied.
