Construction of the house began in 1860 but was later interrupted by the onset of the Civil War. However, it was later completed around 1868 by the new owner, John Wilder. Numerous tragic events have taken place on the property throughout its existence. The former residents of the Mercer Williams House supposedly had supernatural experiences there, such as ghost encounters. The Owens-Thomas House
This house, which has fine architecture and beautiful surroundings, also has a pretty dark past. The Hamilton-Turner Inn, which was made famous by Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, is well-known for the paranormal activities that occur within it.
