Dreaming of the sun or planning out your first trip for 2014? Riviera Maya is definitely on top of my list and it should be on top of yours too!
It’s funny how for many people out there, the beginning of the year signifies planning… for the summer ahead! Who could blame them? Many people in different parts of the world are right now dreaming of the sun, sand, and sea while heating up a kettle for a warm tea. I promise you, I did not mean to rhyme just now.
So where is your next big travel goal destination? If you are craving the feeling of sand between your toes, you don’t really have to go too far!
My suggestion: If you want to escape and find picturesque beaches and perfect warm sun, go down to Mexico and check out Riviera Maya. You can travel an hour away from the Cancun airport, approximately 31 miles north of Playa del Carmen and you’ll find yourself in paradise! Riviera Maya is one of Mexico’s tourism districts, and its coastline is lined with private beachfront Riviera Maya vacation rentals.
I believe that one of the keys to achieving your goal is to visualize it. So go ahead. Slump on a lounge chair and enjoy the sun and sea, all day long. If you get tired of relaxing under the sun, nothing to worry about. You’re close enough to Playa Del Carmen, the Mayan Ruins, Nature and Wildlife areas, and many adventure spots. Or you can just get yourself to the water and enjoy the aquatic life that Riviera Maya boasts of. Snorkel, dive, or just admire it through the crystal clear waters while you are floating about on a kayak. Sounds great doesn’t it?
So at the end of the day not only do you get relaxation, you get the best of all worlds of traveling. The culture and history of the Mayan temples are undeniable, and is definitely one to cross off your bucket list. You can also jet ski, explore caves, and hike if you are an adrenaline junkie. If you just want to stretch out and read a book page to page from start to end, you can. You can enjoy Riviera Maya in many different ways.
Still dreaming? Snap out of it and make things happen. Riviera Maya has something for everybody, and is definitely the perfect goal destination for 2015.
