The first morning I awoke in Rio, my first choice was to try out its famous beaches, Copacabana an Ipanema. Copacabana was a bust. It was cloudy and its actually not that popular a beach anymore. Ipanema is where the people go.

I took one of the shuttles that pass Copacabana to Ipanema…posto 9 where Rio’s best hang out. I have hardly ever been so disappointed when I found so few people there. It was cloudy, but the clouds should not crush my dreams.

But the next day, a friday, I was determined to see it once more.

And it was great!
