Tel Aviv is one of the hottest cities in the world. Yes, it is in the Middle East, which gets pretty warm, but it is also exploding in popularity. In 2011, Tel Aviv was named the third “hottest city on the planet” (again, in terms of growing international popularity, not temperature) by Lonely Planet, placing the city behind only New York City and Tangiers. Luckily, it’s not too hard to get in on the action, as Tel Aviv Apartments
are not too hard to find.
Tel Aviv is the second largest city in Israel. It is also home to the “White City” UNESCO World Heritage site, which is a neighborhood of beautiful white architecture built by German Jews fleeing the Nazis. Tel Aviv also has the largest square in Israel. The night life is constantly evolving and changing, as clubs open and close all the time. Finding out about a new hot spot is a kind of accomplishment in its own right, and should be a mission for any tourist (although if you refer to yourself as a tourist you probably won’t succeed.) Tel Aviv is also a world-class beach town, and there are multiple beaches, including some that are reserved for practitioners of the orthodox faith. There are also the more risqué beaches, as well as beaches known as “gay beaches.” When the beach spectrum is bookended by “gay” and “orthodox religious” you know you can find something that will suit your tastes.
Tel Aviv is currently exploding with tourism, so I would recommend going sooner rather than later. Find yourself a Tel Aviv Apartment and go and explore. There’s history, there’s the new and exciting international cosmopolitan attractions, there’s amazing food, beaches, and crazy nightlife. It’s one of the hottest cities in the world. (Seriously, bring sunscreen.)
Just One Boomer (Suzanne) says
It’s unfortunate that Tel Aviv is currently “exploding” with something other than tourism. We’re worried about friends who live there, but as soon as things calm down, we plan to head over for a visit. However, Mr. and Mrs. Excitement will probably be in bed by 10:00 PM. But, we might have to check out the array of beach options—orthodox and gay, something for everyone. Ya’ gotta love it.
