Taking it Easy Made Easy

May 1, 2018 by Jason B.

If there is one place on the planet that has truly mastered the art of “taking it easy”, that place is Barbados

. Luckily enough, I got to spend some time there just a few short months ago. Now, I’ve been to a lot of beaches in my life, yet none of them compare to the beauty of Barbados’ white sands and sky-blue ocean. They are more than breathtaking. And yet, while I always pictured myself on these types of beaches

, surfing or tearing across the water in a wave runner, the most enjoyable time I spent in Barbados was the time I spent doing nothing at all. And that’s the real beauty of it.

I got to stay in the Barbados Beach Club Hotel

, which made relaxing easier than I could have possibly imagined. My room overlooked the sea, which shimmered with intensity and mystique all throughout the day. On top of that, the hotel offered inclusive Internet access, fine-dining establishments, and a staff who, in all likelihood, have never failed to deliver top-quality service to even a single guest. These guys have made a commitment to making sure I wouldn’t have to worry about mine. You are beginning to see why “taking it easy” never felt easier.

Before I knew it, my cell phone had died. And for the first time in my entire life, I really didn’t care. I was exactly where I wanted to be (which just happened to be staring at the glistening horizon from the comfort of my own private patio), doing exactly what I wanted to do (nothing).

Now that’s not to say that there’s nothing to do. In fact, the hotel offered some fantastically cool activities, like snorkeling, kayaking, and tennis. The hotel was also only a short walk away from St. Lawrence Gap, a premier nightlife attraction.

In other words, there is a ton of stuff to do. But simply knowing that I had plenty of options just made my trip all the more relaxing, considering I didn’t even have to concern myself with figuring out what to do on any given night. And if I had been in a pinch, there was more than one staff member eager to help me find the best attractions Barbados had to offer.
