The former Royal Women’s Hospital
The disused building of the former Royal Women’s Hospital will be back in action with a very different audience during the MMW. With live music across the day, this venue will host a range of different musical events. Incorporated in the celebration of music are events dedicated to recognising film, particularly musicals. The Australian Centre for the Moving Image in the renowned Federation Square right in the heart of Melbourne will have a variety of films on offer. There will also be films available for viewing at the famous Rooftop Cinema, which makes for the perfect way to spend an evening in this fine city.
Life Music Safari
Going on a city safari takes on a whole new meaning during the MMW. From electronic artists to laneway parties and acoustic performers, you can tick just about every musical category off the list on this safari. In just about every hidden location in Melbourne city, from Bennetts Lane Jazz Club to The Public Bar, your ears will be ringing with the sound of music delights all week.
