Sir Thomas Beecham

June 29, 2019 by Jason B.

Sir Thomas Beecham! What a guy.

If you visit Abbey Road

you can make a short detour to find the former home of Sir Thomas Beecham, C.H.

Who is he? I had no idea before seeing this plaque. Beecham was born near Liverpool in 1879, as the son of the creator of Beecham pills. He rose to fame as a music conductor of the New Symphony Orchestra and Beecham Symphony Orchestra. He was also Knighted. And he wrote his own autobiography, A Mingled Chime. The only reason I stopped to look at this plaque was because I thought the city was strange enough to honor a Train Conductor. Sorry for wasting your time reading this ha!

Sponsor: What about visiting Italy? I have confirmed Italians actually make the best pasta in the world. Just eat well, relax and have fun in the Toscana, in Sardinia or in one of the apartments in Rome

. Some Mediterranean air is always good for your health!
