The sharks are back…not! Actually, it’s the Weather Channel’s Hurricane week and they’re bigger, meaner, and more misunderstood than ever.
If you are anything like me, you never miss Shark Week. Well, Hurricane week is just as exciting if not more. If you are exactly like me, you probably have it marked on your weather-calendar that’s hanging next to all of your shark posters. But that’s beside the point. The point is that Hurricane Week is finally here once again, and I couldn’t be more excited.
Have you ever tried going surfing after watching a hurricane tear a beach to bits? I didn’t think so. Trust me, the only way you’re going to get any closer to a hurricane is by covering yourself in a big green poncho, strapping on some windsurfing gear, and diving into the ocean. But since you’ve probably become very attached to your limbs over the years, The Weather Channel is offering the very next best thing: Hurricane Week. Just don’t be too surprised when you end up canceling those beach plans of yours.
Personally, I’ve never quite been able to put my finger on what it is that makes hurricanes so fascinating. Maybe it’s their raw power, or their mysterious nature. Maybe it’s the fact that they get to hang out at all of the best and most exotic beaches around the world. Whatever the reason, I know I’ll be watching, and I know you will be too.
From the gentle Hurricane ________ to the ever so terrifying Hurricane Sandy, you’ll be able to catch up on all of the terrifying hurricane-based shows during Hurricane Week on the Weather Channel.
