The Top 5 Places to Visit in Dublin

January 4, 2019 by Jason B.

If you’re anything like me, you can’t wait to start planning your next vacation. Especially now, as the weather gets colder, the lure of packing up your things and jet-setting to a new destination is sometimes too strong to ignore. But where to go? Sometimes just picking your destination can be the hardest part of planning a trip, but don’t worry, that’s why I’m here to help.

Dublin Castle

One of my favorite places in the world to visit is Dublin. The city offers a ton of great sightseeing opportunities and is home to some of the most fascinating galleries and attractions I’ve ever seen. If you haven’t been to Dublin before, I recommend looking over this list of the top 5 places to visit in Dublin. What’s the best part? Well, now getting there is even easier than ever. Jameson Distillery

Visiting Dublin without taking a tour of the Jameson Distillery would be like attending the Superbowl and skipping the halftime show. After all, whisky is one of Ireland’s leading exports, so what better way to learn about the fascinating history of whisky than by attending a guided tour of the The Jameson Distillery?

National Gallery of Ireland

This is one of my personal favorite spots in Dublin. The National Gallery of Ireland is located in the heart of the city centre, and features works from European artists such as Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet and Rembrant. Did I also mention it’s open all year round and is free of admission? Because that’s kind of a big deal. At least when it comes to getting the chance to see a definitive collection of Irish and European fine art.

The Science Gallery

Maybe you’re the type of person who likes to treat your mind to a stimulating vacation. If that’s the case, you should check out the Science Gallery. It hosts a rotating series of scientific exhibitions and events, and always features some fascinating stuff. So whether you’re a science buff or not, the Science Gallery makes a perfect place to visit during your time in Dublin.
