Although January is strictly out of season for most of the island there are still plenty of places still open particularly in Paphos, Limmasol and Larnarca. Being the quiet part of the year, it is great time to catch a cheap flight and experience the more traditional side to the so called island of Aphrodite away from the crowds.
The Gambia
The Gambia enjoys average temperatures of around 30 degrees during January making it a perfect retreat from the winter gloom. Beautiful sandy beaches lined with palm trees are an ideal place to relax amidst balmy breezes. During January Gambia is still very much alive with plenty of bars and restaurants open, and you’ll find your money goes a long way here on the smiling coast.
