While away the chilly days with a stroll through the snow in central park, ice skating at the foot of the Rockerfeller Center or indulging in a bit of retail therapy in the city’s world famous department stores.

 4. Agadir

With temperatures of around 20?C, Agadir is a great place to shrug off those winter blues and relax after a hectic Christmas.

If you get bored of sunning yourself on the beach, head to the vibrant city of Marrakesh for a day or two of haggling, sightseeing and exploring.

 5. Gran Canaria

Lying off the west coast of Africa, the Canary Islands enjoy a climate like no other in Europe.

Take advantage of the peace and quite of the winter months to explore the rich flora and fauna of Gran Canaria, hiking through its stunning countryside or soaking up the winter sun on deserted beaches.

Getting away for a few days or even a few weeks is a great way to make the most of the winter, so book a trip now and make this January (or next winter) one to remember!
