Right. I am not even sure what you readers think I am doing all day. I am not traveling non-stop like my about page
pretends to say. I actually live in Philadelphia in an apartment I rented for a year, though the lease expires in September. Sure, I sublet my apartment last November to live in London for a bit but since February I have more or less been here. I did do a trip to Panama and another to Puerto Rico somewhere in between February and now. Mexico is in September by the way. I should also mention a bunch of trips to New York City, St. Patrick’s day in Pittsburgh, and even a week-long trip to Virginia Beach.
With that said, let me share a few photos of what life has been like in Philly.
This first photo is from my interview room at Temple University. I interviewed a dozen potential social media interns that day. But I ultimately decided against it because I did not want to commit myself to one place without the chance to vacation at all. I would have to be here everyday if I were responsible for an Intern.
Before my trip to Panama I went to some Philadelphia 76ers vs. Chicago Bulls NBA games. This shot is from when the 76ers beat the bulls!
St. Patrick’s day in Pittsburgh was with my college friends. We started with bloody mary’s at 9AM and passed out sometime around 5pm.
I had to renew my driver’s license one day at the Philly D.M.V. It is a really sad place.
This was actually from last night at Pod, a nice restaurant in Philly.
At one bar in Northern Liberties they have jenga. JENGA.
That’s a wrap.

Ugh, the DMV in Philly is the *worst* place. In other news, a few of us stuck-in-Philadelphia folk on Twitter have a monthly travel meetup to talk about travels if you’re interested in drinking/talking travels with strangers! I’m @amandaelsewhere – let me know!
