Try Something Different: Luxury Camping

December 10, 2019 by Jason B.

If you’re looking for a luxury holiday, it’s not always a good idea to go for the first thing that springs to mind. Why not try something different this year, in the form of luxury camping? The concept may seem alien at fist; camping doesn’t often summon up images of luxury for many people, but luxury camping abroad is an entirely different matter.

Whether it’s camping in Italy

, France, Belgium or Switzerland, if you’re staying in a maxi tent with Canvas Holidays, you can look forward to a range of features:

  • A spacious living area
  • Beds for up to six
  • Up to three separate bedrooms
  • Kitchen
  • Four ring cooker
  • Hob
  • Fridge with ice box
  • Full set of cutlery and crockery
  • Wardrobe rail with coat hangers

It’s fair to say that a Canvas camping experience isn’t your average night in a tent! If you’re looking for something a little more deluxe however, why not look into renting one of their mobile homes? That way, you still get the benefits of staying on a campsite, but some extra home comforts. As well as all of the above features, most mobile homes come with air conditioning, a garden patio set and decking in some instances, allowing you and your family to dine al-fresco in the warm afternoon sun.

If this still doesn’t sound like your idea of luxury, then maybe a deluxe lodge is for you. These rustic lodges give a real home from home feel. Lodges are particularly useful for families with small children, as a travel cot is provided and high chairs are also available upon request.

If the lodge doesn’t take your fancy and you’re looking for something a bit more modern, then there are also a range of luxury apartments available. These all have their own specific benefits, but you’re guaranteed two things: luxury living and plenty of space!

There are also a huge range of bookable extras available at a small cost, including:

  • Mini-campers’ packs and buggies
  • Cots and high chairs
  • Decking
  • Air-conditioning
  • Linen and towel hire
  • Barbeques

So there you have it – a camping holiday certainly doesn’t have to mean going ‘back to basics’. It’s one of the best ways to enjoy the benefits of luxury accommodation with the bonus of having nature on your doorstep.
